About AV Technik:

Welcome and thank you for spending some time here at AV Technik online. My interest and passion in all things "equipment" started at a very young age. Educating myself in the earlier years and making sure I was always as close to what I felt was the right place at the right time eventually panned out. Following graduation from the University of Rochester and Eastman School of Music, at age 21 I landed a house engineering position at the world famous Irving Plaza in New York City (now the Fillmore East NYC). At Irving Plaza I had the honor of working with such artists as Willie Nelson, Ricky Martin, 311 and the Red Hot Chili Peppers to name a few.

After a short amount of time I was recommended by some industry folks for a position with Sony Records (which I gladly accepted). Over the next 3 years I lived in airplanes, tour buses and hotels from Europe to Africa to Australia and all over the United States. I worked for many different artists as a tour manager, production manager and chief sound engineer.

Although I was enjoying a great run with Sony, I decided it was time for a change. So with a somewhat broken back from those not-so-comfy tour bus bunks, I returned to my home state of Maine for what would be the next chapter.

After being back home for only a short amount of time and with 10 years' experience as a professional in the audiovisual business, I decided that Maine needed an alternative to its then current offerings. I established AV Technik with a few basic principles in mind:

• Building strong relationships - people first, gear second.

• Crystal clear communication with an "always" open door policy. We always want to know how we are doing and what we can do to make a difference.

• Providing smart, effective, high quality and affordable equipment solutions.

• Kicking some audiovisual butt, smiling and having some fun while we are at it.

The results we feel have been worth it. We enjoy what we do and more importantly we enjoy the people we work with. We are always looking to offer the best solutions and in ways that we can continue to make a difference.
